Their journey is a powerful testament to the impact that everyday women can have on the community, particularly in the fight against cancer.

In this insightful episode, Courtney and Kerri share their "before and after" moments: Kerri's search for a way to give back beyond the PTA after cancer hit home, and Courtney's realization of the organization's immediate, profound impact after witnessing a young survivor's story. They dive deep into the mission of Kure It—a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit that ensures funding goes straight to underfunded cancer research, often seeing results in clinical trials within weeks of a campaign.

The conversation highlights truly moving stories, including one woman with lung cancer who found hope through a trial supported through Kure It. They discuss their roles as advocates, educators, and fundraisers, emphasizing the passion and purpose found in their community, which they fondly call the "bee-hive." They also offer critical advice for anyone newly diagnosed with cancer or supporting a loved one: hope, faith, community, and advocacy are vital.

Kerri and Courtney's message is a powerful one: Healing from cancer is a combination of medicine, hope, faith, and community, requiring you to be your own active advocate in the pursuit of wellness. This episode is a must-listen for anyone seeking to find purpose, get involved in their community, or learn more about hope in the fight against cancer.

Find out more about Kure It and the Women's Guild here:

Website: Kureit.org

Instagram: @kureitwomensguild and @kureit

Mention: Kure It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization looking for sponsors and companies to partner with them to support cancer research.

Find us here: https://linktr.ee/transformingandthriving

Get your FREE meditation download: https://transforming-and-thriving.kit.com/40d6bfadc6

Our philanthropy initiative is still going strong! In this episode, Isabel shares her journey of rewiring a lifelong overactive fear response, learning to set boundaries, and loving herself enough to end toxic relationships.

Isabel opens up about a pivotal "before and after" moment in her life, rooted in an existential crisis she experienced at just nine years old. She candidly discusses how this early fear of "non-being" led her to cling to control and overthink worst-case scenarios, limiting her ability to live authentically and enjoy the things she loves, like travel and nature.

This powerful conversation explores what it truly means to live with constant fear and the resilience it takes to actively transform it. Isabel shares the tools and wisdom she’s gained from her journey, including the importance of meditation, surrender, and practicing self-compassion. Susan has long been a mentor and inspiration in the local community and schools, recognized for her visionary leadership, tireless dedication, and humble commitment to teen mental health.

In this deeply personal episode, Susan bravely shares a pivotal "before and after" moment in her life: her decision to embark on a new career journey by enrolling in graduate school for Social Work when her youngest child was five. Susan opens up about confronting past mental health issues that resurfaced, including an eating disorder and feelings of "not being or doing enough," leading her to her own therapy. Neelia Heydt on "Transforming and Thriving" for an inspiring conversation with intuitive business coach and hypnotherapist, Claudia Whitney. Claudia shares her powerful journey of reinvention, particularly her move back to the states to start her coaching business while navigating the uncertainties of motherhood. She candidly discusses hitting rock bottom, battling fear and lost confidence, and how her son became a driving force for her pivot. Discover the tools Claudia used to rebuild, including intuition journaling, self-care, and a unique self-reflection exercise involving trusted individuals, designed to uncover your strengths and blind spots.

Claudia, who helps coaches, leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs build expansive and aligned businesses, delves into the mindset shifts and subconscious reprogramming necessary for personal and professional growth. She opens up about two significant life transitions: 1. In her early twenties, she had a transformation in which she shed insecurities and embraced self-discovery; 2. Her later move to LA, where she faced the challenges of balancing motherhood and a career pivot. Claudia’s experiences, filled with both struggle and triumph, offer valuable insights into finding magic in messy seasons and thriving on your own terms.

Claudia was generous enough to share a free resource for listeners: the Fear Alchemy Method workbook. This workbook helps you shift your relationship with fear—rather than pushing it aside, you’ll learn to understand its messages and use it as a tool for growth. Through guided exercises, you’ll expand your capacity to hold both fear and courage, allowing you to move forward with more confidence and ease. In this episode, Lindsay courageously and candidly shares her powerful story of overcoming years of unhealthy eating and exercise habits and developing a healthier relationship with her body. Lindsay bravely opens up about her intense internal battles with perfectionism and control, the challenges of recovery, and how she's transformed her relationship with herself. She discusses the importance of empathy, the impact of well-meaning but unhelpful support, the benefits of having loved ones respond in healthy ways (like listening rather than praising or judging), and the process of silencing the "loud voice" of an eating disorder. Lindsay exemplifies strength through vulnerability in her message. She also offers valuable insights into finding strength in dark moments, the evolution of her self-perception, and the practices that help her maintain a healthy relationship with her body today.

This episode is a testament to resilience, offering hope and solidarity to those struggling with eating disorders and their loved ones. Listen as Lindsay shares what she wishes she had known earlier in her journey and the messages she hopes will resonate with others. In this episode, Chelseah Darling, a woman who represents resilience and strength, describes her sudden diagnosis with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in her mid-30s, urgent (and lengthy) hospitalizations and treatments and stem cell transplant, all while navigating being a single mama of a 6-year-old boy.
